Most of my roses have been annihilated by rose weevils and Japanese beetles. Besides my daily rounds of squishing them, I'm not quite sure what else to do...
These 'princess Charlene de Monaco' seem to be holding up to the damage pretty well though.

Nigella season is so brief but at least we get to enjoy the pods after the blooms fade. I have a section in my perennial garden that reseeds every year and the mix of colors gets better and better. #nigella
